    Default Carbs are evil

Hi there all, thanks for some great forum chats...
I just felt so alone before I came here
I thought I was over all this about a year back but I'm now at uni and in catered halls and the food is shit so i have kindof gone back to my old ways...
except this time i am following India's diet at http://www.pig2twig.co.uk/forums/ and I'm finding it better as compared to last time where I was scared of a lot of foods this time I'm prepared with sugar ratings. Basically the book and internet site taught me that carbs are evil so i live off tuna and homemade mayo, olives, roasted tomatoes and loads of green veg...but no fruit, carbs like bread or sweet items. The good thing is even if i have a problem binge i tend to hit fruit or peanut butter and salad so the damage isnt bad.

My problem is how i deal with going home. my mum is a great cook and has amazing food around and i prefer my stuff but she gets upset when i dont like hers, even though often her stuff may be closer to the diet, eg. steak etc.

So basically I'm trying to go on a late Lent diet....

So what i hear you say why are you telling us all this ... sorry im rabbitting on arnt i??? SORRY!

I Just wondered what everybody else thought about...
-how to stop those unwanted binges
-do you think its possible to inhale calories through smell, eg. when you walk past a hot-dog stand etc.
-how to avoid having to eat 3 meals a day with parents
-the best exercise to do to get rid of tummy bulge, i already walk everywhere
-in theory this diet says fatty foods are no problem, ie.ham, salami, mayonaisse etc. anybody agree/disagree with that?
-and if anyone else wanted to diet with me?
    Love to you all...

hey, its good to hear that you feel welcome here, i also feel like this site helps me a lot... it helps me deal with the crazy thoughts i have and i can express them rather than just go over and over them in my head!!
    my thoughts on your questions...
how to stop binges... if i knew this i would be thin!!!! but usually i i feel a binge comin on i drink warm sugar free ribena... it sounds odd but it basically calorie free and kind of tricks your head into thinkin you are full cz its sweet and warm...

i definitely dont think you can inhale calories!! not biologically possible.

i avoid breakfast by having a lie in, and dinner by going to the gym and saying that i am going out to meet friends for dinner.
lunch can be hard, buit you can say you are going shopping and will get a s/w while you are out or somethin?

tummy bulge=crunches... iv expressed this though before but i looooove exercise so i may be over-stating this one.

my opinion on carbs vs fatty foods.... i personally think it doesn;t matter what you eat as long as you stay below your cal limit. but carbs make me bloated, especially my afce, so often avoid tehm and go for lean protein instead.

there are a few of us all dieting together anyway... see march challenge thread... feel free to join that!!

    much love
