Hey there everyone,
I am new to this forum but I have a question which I hope some of you might be able to help me with it.
I eat very little and exercise quite a lot. I eat about 500-800 kcal. a day (vegetables, dark bread, lean meat, water). I burn about 600 kcal on my exercise bike, I go for pretty high speed walks for 1-2 hours every day + I go for a bike ride every second day which lasts an hour.
I have gone from 136.69 (62 kg.) to 114.64 lbs (52 kg.)... I want to go down to about 99.21 (45 kg.) - 105.82 lbs (48 kg.) I am 5.51 tall (168 cm)
When I lose weight I seem to be getting more cellulite or at least it isn't going away, will it go away when I become really skinny or will it get worse? Have any of you experienced this and what happened to your cellulite when losing weight? Please help cause I am going insane.
I'm from Scandinavia so my English might be a bit off at times.

hiya,
all i know about cellulite is that it comes from certain foods like chocolate and from caffeine, do you drink much coffee or anything?
other than that i don't know i'm afraid, i would think it will go as you lose weight, it certainly sounds as if you are doing plenty of exercise which should get rid of it i think.

Thank you so much for your reply.
I do drink coffee, one to two cups a day because it kills my apatite. I have read it is not the best for cellulite but cellulite should be more of a genetic issue and I'm hoping that when I become skinny I will lose it.
I don't have a ton of it, I just still hate it and it destroys my self-esteem bad enough.

cellulite has a lot to do with genetics. you can be thin, have no muslce, lots of fat, and lots of cellutlite. however, the more fat you lose, the more cellulite disappears. at 5.5 " and 114 lbs, you should be good. you're already under, and if you have a small frame, it should be noticeably thinner. 99lbs, you'll be sick, and not functioning optimally. but do what makes you feel best, happy. i'm not one to speak. i'm 5'3'', 90 lbs, i already have a small frame. 1-2 lbs lost is noticeable. i have literally no fat, but i always seem to want to get smaller, at 95 lbs., i feel i look more dimply in butt area, and i feel better, more confident at 90 or less. goodluck!

"all i know about cellulite is that it comes from certain foods like chocolate and from caffeine"
This is not true. Cellulite doesn't have anything to do with what you eat.
"the more fat you lose, the more cellulite disappears"
This is also not true. While cellulite IS fat, losing weight does not mean your cellulite will go away. In many cases, it can make it worse. I thought about getting liposuction on my butt/legs, but my doctor told me that will likely make the appearance of cellulite even worse. Cellulite is completely genetic. There are only two things you can do to reduce the appearance:
1. exercise. Especially weight training for your butt and legs. You need to eat plenty of protein for this to work, because you need it to build muscle.
2. there are some (expensive) cosmetic procedures you can get done. If you have the money (a couple thousand), do a google search on it.

there are many factors that contribute to cellulite, unfortunatly one of the main ones is genetics but you can still improve or get rid of it. the appearance of dry skin only makes cellulite worse so make sure you moisturise and take enough vitamen E and C (as vitamen C helps strengthen connective tissue).also taking in omega three oils(found in fish, flaxeed or you can take in capsule form) can help as it gives plumper skin so appearance of cellulite is reduced and it also helps with water retention(another factor to cellulite).some say cellulite is also a build up of toxins so drink lots of water and eat anti-oxident foods(apples, berries, other fruit). excersise is most beneficial.cellulite is fat so doing a lot of toning builds muscle but cellulite can still remain. it is better to do short bursts of different kinds of high intensity cardio(running uphill, fast cycling) to burn fat and to keep on changing excersise regime than it is to do same long 2hr walk or bike ride. i always start with some toning excersises(push ups, lunges,stretching...)then run fast for a short time then a few more toning excersises.it's better to do toning excersises 30mins after eating and before cardio because toning excersises rely on muscle for energy so if you have used up your food it will have no option but to eat away at your muscle not your fat (do not do toning excersises on an empty stomach), cardio however uses fat for energy. high intensity cardio also makes your body pump blood around the body including the cells of cellulite which helps poor circulation(another contributer to cellulite).gentle massage can also help working in a circular motion from your ankles up as this can assist circulation.some also say caffeine enriched creams or other creams work but these are usually least affective.hope that was helpful!

cellulite is caused by the structure of the connective tissue under your skin...
effectively if you have larger gaps in your connctive tissue, fat can kind of bulge through which is what causes the dimpled appearance..
unfortunately, its genetics which affects the structure of that tissue and you cant change it.
losing weight will help a little, as it reduces the total surface area of the cellulite... but will never make it disappear completely.
things which do help are increasing blood flow to the area- this can be done by dry body brushing or toning exercises.
staying hydrated (from the inside and out) so drink lots of water (not caffiene as its a diuretic) and moisturise!!
some creams and gels specifcally marketed to help cellulite. these will not get rid of the cellulite at all, but can tighen the ksin temporarily and reduce its appearnce for a short while ( a day or so) although most of these creams are pretty expensive.xxxage 20
