Hey every one,
Ok i have a question that i would love your help with. As of today, i am quitting bulimia. I have been bulimic for about 2.5 years, and i cant deal with it any more. As i'm sure you all know, it's something we dont want to live with, but any thing that will help us keep weight off and look our best, we will do.
I wanted some help on recovering. I know seeing a nutritionist & doctor could be helpful, but im trying my own will power for now.
I have decided to start a fruit & veggie diet. Not exactly a diet, just a detox. I'm 100% sure my insides are ruined because of all the vomiting over the years =(.
Anyway, i have heard that people who have stopped vomiting have gained weight. My question is basically, did you gain the weight because you were eating the wrong foods and not vomitting it? OR were you actually eating very healthy, but you just gained the weight any way?
I don't want to gain weight, but i know its time to stop. I have become depressed and really unsatisfied with who i have become.
The last time i vomited was yesterday, under my chin my throat blew up like a balloon for the first time, & now i cant really vomit anymore. (which i see is actually a good thing).
I would love to hear from any one, recovering, suffering etc.
=) Thank you

hello, well done for deciding to stop! hope it goes well, and sorry to hear about your throat swelling that cant be good
! Ive got some answers for you, not sure how much help ill be though. ive been bulemic for 2 n a half years too and recently stopped, and i have put a bit of weight on but thats only because i cant control my eating habits. i binge constantly but im turning it around now and seeing a difference! basically if you eat healthily and dont binge you wont put any on
. but if you do binge then do some exercise! get a skipping rope, i hear it only takes 20 mins a day skipping to keep healthy! hope i helped, n keep it up you will feel soooo much better after a while xxx
