    Default Fat Panic Attack?!

This may sound a little strange, and it did happen to me a couple of weeks ago, but I felt compelled to share my experience with you guys, and see if any of you have ever felt this.
Anyway, it happened at school, during class (English to be exact). I was sitting at my desk, listening to the teacher (barely) and taking notes, when all of a sudden I had this huge, panicky feeling that I was really, disgustingly fat.
Now, I normally feel overweight and gross, but this was worse. I felt like I could feel the fat being deposited on my stomach and torso, and I felt so awful that I actually (discreetly) felt my stomach with my hand so I could feel the size of my stomach. Of course it felt huge. I felt like I was bulging everywhere, and I wanted to run out of the classroom, and start exercising or running. The panic slowly subsided a little bit, but I was still quite frantic. After class, I rushed to the bathrooms to check my appearance. To my relief, I didn't LOOK any fatter, and so I calmed down after that.
Again, I'm sorry if this appears 'crazy' or doesn't make sense. To me, it seems like some sort of 'fat panic attack'. Has anyone else experienced something like this? It felt absolutely horrible.

and so DAMN sad of being fat !! u know
this is the "human nature" of neva being
satisfied of how you look or weigh T_T
and that what "hurts the most" ..

    thanx for mentioning this
    and this doesn't sound any
strange nor crazy ! this is
    just a good reminder as
to be aware of such thoughts

    have a nice day and
dun be so -ve abt ur
    outter image .. just
    control ur weight ..

Thanks totchi for the reply . I know everyone here feels gross and unsatisfied all the time, but I just wanted to express that during this experience it was so intense and really scary. It was also really random, it just happened so suddenly.

I've also had several of those. It's very difficult, as the ''fat panic attacks" usually happen when there's no mirror nearby or when I'm wearing something light like a short dress/skirt or tight jeans.

Moving around helps, if I can't go do any exercises I at least walk around a bit. It is a bother during class, though.

I wish I could say something helpful but I haven't been able to figure out if there's something particular that makes fpa's happen (like some situations or clothes or dunno, something). But I know how it feels and I'm sorry that there's someone else with the same problem

trust me you aren't the only one. almost every day the samething happens to me. i live in south florida and the weather is getting unbearably hot now. everyone at school wears really short shorts and a thight tank top. i feel like i will never be able to wear shorts because i feel that my legs are worst part of my body. and because im constantly drinking water my stomach is always looking twice as big. sorry for complaining.

I know how you feel! The last time I wore shorts was like...what, six years ago? I'm really starting to feel like I'll never wear them again, not with these legs. And to be able to wear short sleaves...it must be a wonderful feeling.

I get a lot like that when I'm around my skinny friends. But it used to be especially bad when I was in college. I used to sit in the back corner of the classrooms and compare myself to every girl and guy in the class. Of course I as always the fattest one in the class or so I felt that way. I also get those panic attacks when I watch tv. Unfortunately the only way these attacks go away for me is when I isolate myself from the world.
