    Default Dnt get it

Well be eating less than 1000 cals all week and so thought I would re measure/ re weigh myself this morning. First off good news:
    I lost
1 and a half inch off my chest
    0.5 inch off my waist

    bad news is:
I haven't lost anything off my hips
My weight has stayed the same!!

    Why is this??
Not too sure whether or not I should carry this on but if I don't I feel like I've given up on this too easily, anybody else get this?
    xxx

Heya CountingRibs.. I'm by no means an expert in any of these matters but I've been struggling with Ana/Mia for a few years. From what docs/nurses have told me in this time, the fluctuations in measurements and weight can be down to hydration and can even depend on what time of day you weigh yourself! Apparently its normal for your weight to go up slightly depending on your hydration levels and how much water you drink etc, So if you go up a few pounds, it doesn't automatically mean youve put on weight! Kind of annoying though, since even one pound in the wrong direction is an epic disaster Well done on the good news though!

Try measuring only monthly and just use the scale the rest of the time.
Empty is pure, starving is the cure.
The stomach is a muscle, and like all muscles, it needs rest.
You're not winning this battle tummy ha!

Yeah I think not measuring too often definately helps. Weighing every day will still give you fluctuations under and over your actual weight so weighing every week seems to work to track long-term weight loss. Also drinking Tea.. I basically have a mug every other minute and it works as an appetite surpressant in the short term. Ready Brek is also another filling and relatively low-cal food. Its central heating from the inside! xxx

hey, i'm exactly the same - i eat under 1,000 cals pretty much all the time and haven't lost in ages.

try to kick start you metabolism as much as you can, exercise, caffeine and varying intake all help.

I weigh every day, but only use my Sunday weight as "official." I pretty much know when my weight will be up or down and am used to the cycles.
