Hey guys
Just a quick query, I recently ended up putting my body in starvation mode and plateau'd, I began eating 1000-1200 cals and although put on a bit have started losing again and I think have come out of starvation mode. This week started out at 929 cals on Tues, did 750 yesterday and was aiming for 500 today and poss 300 tomorrow, then 3-400 sat then fast till sun pm as have big meal at mother in laws I'm worried about, then 700 monday 500 tues, poss 300, then was going to go up to 500, 700, 1000 and back down or something like this.
Does anyone know whether doing something like tihs will put me back into starvation mode again. If it will am I better off just sticking to 700-100 cals every day.
Thanks guys
Suzy

I think it's very different for everyone. My weight tended to not budge when I got to the half stone or stone mark (8st7, 8 stone, 7 stone 7, 7 stone...) But in between just dropped off, and when i got to 7 stone 7 it took a couple of months to drop to my lowest 5 stone 11 (I'm 5 ft 6 btw.) On days I did eat, it was never more than 400 kcal, and days I binged, I threw it back up again.
In recovery now though. Prob weigh around 6 stone 8 and I eat around 700 kcals a day to maintain that weight (even though I'm supposed to be gaining but sshhh....)
Take care,
Torey

Did a bit more research and spoken to a friend, found out that the min i need to avoid starvation mode is half my BMR which is about 650 cals. I'm going to make sure I eat at least this which I have for last few days anyway and try to stick to max of 1000 cals. Currently losing 1lb a day so hopefully that will continue.
That way should lose weight and not go into starvation mode.
