I got a similar problem tonight! It's my BF's birthday, and he wants a home delivery of everything nice, but everything BAD!!
Going to be an indian.
So now I am scouring the menu, to make a meal, out of as little as possible. I have only had a yogurt, 2 satsuma's, and 3 plums today, And now it will all be for nothing!!!
That's what I find the hardest about this.....all social situations revolve around food. Most of my friends look forward to going out for a good meal. For me it just fills me with dread.
So, I am going to just order some chicken tikka,(as a starter, and with no sauce) and have a big salad with loads of onions and peppers, 1 poppadom, and a mint sauce dip.
With regards to your situation, why don't you just have a little bit of the naughty stuff, and loads of salad. Also, hopefully there will be lots of people milling about so it won't be so noticable. And...if you can ...DANCE, DANCE, DANCE!!!!!
love to you all

Hi,
I don't know about you two, but I have found things so much easier since friends and family know about my 'problem.' It means that if we go out for meals, they understand why I'm ordering soup for starter, salmon with no sauce or potatoes and def NO DESSERT! I don't advice telling everyone you associate with (people are horribly judging) but people close to you should understand and it makes you feel so much more free. We can't avoid social situations and we shouldn't...it's part of being human...you have to remember that everyone has their skeletons in the closet, and you may be surprised at how supportive people are when they are aware...
Take care,
Torey
