I was just officially diagnosed with bulimia today. I've known for a while, though, and I joined this site a while ago, but decided not to post yet until now. My name's Amanda, I'm 17.

Me too..
Hey. Im 17 too, this is actually my first post too.
I was diagnoised with it this time last year.. i managed to stop a while ago, but to be honest it never goes away, its one of the hardest things you have to go through with, its a constant battle. Someone might as well tell you now, you should know. I've started a crazy diet routine which is just as bad i suppose and recently i have been being sick, I know its not the right thing to do, and so for that i am going to try and help myself get better, all you can do is try, which is what i think you should do. Dont throw your life away, your worth much more. If you ever fancy a chat im here. Xx

Thank you. I have been without an episode (that's what I've been calling it, it sounds so much more official than saying throwing up) for seven weeks on Tuesday, but honestly it keeps getting harder. So I know it's not nearly as long as you've known, but I kind of get what you're talking about. Today I ate a lot and I"m feeling soooo stressed out now, I want to purge sooooo bad. We're on "vacation" right now, so we're eating out and stuff a lot, and it's just driving me to tears, but I can't seem to stop eating.
