    HW: 150 lbs.

I know what you mean, when you feel like anything is better than this. If you are truly bulimic and not anorexic, you will ALWAYS want to purge; but eating disorders are not just about weight and body dysmorphia. It's also an obsession with food and control. If you can control yourself enough not to eat to the point where you feel you need to purge, you'll slowly start to become more and more used to just not eating. Some of the tips on distracting yourself from food and training yourself to control what you take in on fading-obsession.com or houseofthin.com helped me when I got stuck in bad places.

    Just drink a lot.
    A LOT.

Not very helpful, but I find drinking helps me imagine I'm eating something.

I'm not sure if it would help but have you ever tried the chew & spit method? You basically chew up food then spit it out, it satisfies hunger cravings & I like to think it feels like something is leaving your body =3 x Hope it helps a little..

    Default chew and spit

personally I don't like that methode..I am afraid of swallowing, and it feels bad. I stick to my own diet.

    my breakfast:
    1 egg.

    my lunch:
    2 baby tomatoes.

and I drink a LOT of water all day.

hmm the thing with chewing/spitting is that you HAVE to wash out your mouth at least 3 times after every bite, or you'll probably still swallow some of the food. i don't like doing it though, because it takes so long.
yeah.. i dunno. just throw away all your bingey foods, and only take out enough money with you to buy whatever you need, so you CAN'T buy binge food...
eat slow.. and as has been said, drink a lot. i drink like 2 or 3 litres of water a day, and it makes me feel so bloated i actually physically can't eat.. but then i take diuretics and the bloating goes away.. maybe try that?

i'm in your exact same position! i've been mia for over a year and can't take it anymore. purging makes me miserable, but if i don't, then i gain weight immediately.

i feel your pain, so know that you're not alone in this!

    Hey
this is my first post...so congratulations i guess:P
First of all, I've been anorexic for the last 3years....I found the easiest thing to do...is find things that distract you. Don't think about not eating, as that will cause CRAVINGS!!! really bad.
ive not eaten a thing for the last 12days at all, i drink coffee, smoke and write...that is of course when im not studying.
Find something that you love doing, and allow that to distract you from eating. Stay away from the kitchen [unless you're a coffee drinker]
i remember when i first started how hard it was.
However, if you can focus on something OTHER than food/not eating, it gets soooo much easier. I suppose everytime you have a craving google 'thinspo' and look at yourself in the mirror. It's also easier to do if 1] you have one person to keep you accountable, for me it's my sister, we LITERALLY used to throw food out from each others hands etc...though now i find it easier if no-one knows. Loose weight so that people notice. DON'T eat until someone mentions something about your weight...than that comment is normally some form of inspiration to continue
I know alot of people weight themselves everyday, which works for them, though for me...again...it's easier if i don't pay attention to it. i haven't weighed myself for almost 2 weeks [then i was 49 kg, im 5foot7in]
JUST DISTRACT YOURSELF AND DOn'T THINK ABOUT NOT EATING!!!!

    love holly-rae
