Question Bored of the same old routine...

    Hey everyone!

I was wondering if anyone had any new ways of making my exercise routine a little more fun. Im getting tired of doing the same old thing day after day. I usually run 4 or 5 miles and then lift weights. I love the feeling after working out...but im getting bored. What's out there that's fun?

    Default Fun exercise

I'm not sure how old you are or if you have any kids, but I love to crank the music and dance in the living room with my kids. They love it and I get to be silly with them. It really works!!! An hour will go by and you don't even realize it until you're out of breath and the sweat is running down your back

It's a great way to spend time with them too. Another way I love to exercise is to wrestle with them. I have a 12 and a 14 year old. They are alot bigger than me and they love to see if they can get me down. I have 7 children so it gets pretty tireing when they are all on you trying to get you to the ground.

    hope that helps alittle!!

    Default The planks

My favorite exercise is the plank. For the plank you lay facedown on the floor with your arms bent under your chest (they are parallel with your body). Then you push your self up so your body is straight and your weight is balanced on your toes and your arms.

    Default Turbo Jam is Awesome!

Turbo Jam is really awesome! You see results quick, and it varies enough not to get too bored with it.

I have 3 children, we have a hula hoop, a lolo ball and a trampoline. Its great fun we turn music up and all exercise together for about an hour a day. When weather is good we play badminton or frisbee games over the park, take a ball with us too. We all like walking and go to the mountain at weekends. You need to make it fun, try different things everyday so you dont get stuck in a rut and get bored.

    Talking

I just started on a new fun form of exercise...

    DDR!
    [ Dance Dance Revolution on PS2 ]

Here in Australia it's called Dancing Stage. There's a new one out called SuperNova, and it's great because it has a Workout Mode that tells you how many calories you're burning as you dance! You can do routines that involve sequences of dances, starting from an easy dance as a warm up, getting to more intense dances that really get your heart going!
It's great and it's fun to unlock more songs

As said above Turbo Jam is an amazing work out.
I also crank up the music and just dance, usually for hours without knowing it.
I have no kids so its easy for me to dance well into the night and be a sweaty heap when im done.
Other then what was mentioned above i cannot think of anything else that would unbore your work out routine.
    Have fun!
