Has anyone been able to stop the bulimia during a pregnancy? I feel very selfish and I have tried to stop but as always this disease seems to be taking over my life - My husband thinks I have been able to control it during the pregnancy but I have not been successful - I feel terrible - like a bad mother and selfish ... I try to eat healthy all day and my problem is during the evenings - my husband works very long hours and when I come home from work early I am home alone for the rest of the evening with my 5 year old daughter - I have told myself I would not eat dinner alone - maybe that would help... I just don't know how to fix this - Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions ?

talk to your neonatal doctor about this!! Bulimia has negative effects on your body, imagine what it can do to a life that is trying to develop inside of you. I don't necessarily think you need to get your husband involved unless you don't stop. You're putting your unborn baby at great risk for all sorts of diseases and defects. Surely, that thought, along with the guidance of a doctor will be enough to get you to change your behaviors?? even if it's only for a few months...
PLEASE seek help

Please, dear GOD, don't tell me you purge by vomiting?
The induced retch is a very violent contraction... which takes place just above... your womb?
Forget setting your baby up for diseases, every time you purge you are risking a miscarriage there and then!
Your baby won't live to suffer a disease.
My love, I am bulimic too and I know how difficult it is, but you have got to see that no matter what mental illness you have, you cannot use it to justify harming your child.
Please seek attention.
Now.

Hi Stillhere
I was wondering if you could help me?
Hi there,
I work for a television production company. We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.
We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder to raise awareness.
If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you and anyone else who is suffering. All communication would be in complete confidence.
You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com or call me on +4420 7013 4595.
