    Hi everyone,
I am a recently diagnosed anorexic and have just started my recovery process. I have been feeling so alone and scared and everyday is such a huge struggle. I am seeing a therapist buy otherwise trying to do this by myself but have no idea how to do this. I have started to try to eat more each day but the guilt and anxiety is overwhelming. I'm hoping by finding you guys here I won't feel so alone and maybe work out a way to get through this. I just am so far removed from "normal eating" that I don't even know how much I should eat each day to get better.
Anyway hello to you all and any advice would be beyond appreciated!
    X

Thank you both. I'm hoping so too! I just am very lost at the moment and don't know where to start as Ana seems to win so much of the time. Luckily not in terms of refusing to eat but choosing less calorific foods. It is such a battle.

    Second this.
Don't know how helpful I would be in "recovery talk" bc that's never been my intention. However, I do have experience with the ED and with ED treatment (certified into, and currently in for the 3rd time) so perhaps I can provide you with some helpful information. If not, at least know that I can relate. Best of luck with recovery to you!

I would really suggest you start seeing a dietician/nutritionist bc then you can go over your situation/eating patterns (how long have you had your eating disorder, is your body use to solid, or mainly just liquids, have you been mainly fasting, how restrictive are you - 100 calories per day - 500, ect.). There are a lot of things that go into determining a meal plan.

Everyone is different ! Some are far along, some just starting, some are tip toeing and having the whole love hate relationship thing with it, some are denying themselves from it, you will always have someone you can talk to that can relate though PM if you ever need to chat !

HA! How far am I into recovery.

I'm not into it. I am opposed to it for myself. However, being certified has put me in the place where I have to at least get "stable" to get out.
