Default Forced to wear form-fitting clothes for dance class

I look fatter than I ever have before. I am fatter than I ever have been before. I'm at the highest weight I've ever been. My ribs are patted with a disgustingly thick layer of fat. And my stomach has more fat than ever, plus it's all bloated from my period. And my thigh gap has shrunk and they're all jiggly and gross. I wish I could just wear like a big blanket to school, because you can see my huge bloated fat stomach even in some of my loosest clothes.

Unfortunately, I signed up for a dance class this year to get the rest of my PE credits out of the way. When I was signing up for classes, I knew that we would have to dress down for class. But I never thought that part of the requirement for dressing down would be that the clothes have to be form-fitting. Not necessarily tight, but they can't be very loose, either. They also have to be all black. We are not allowed to wear shorts.

The only pants I have that fits the bill is a pair of yoga pants. I don't know what I'm going to do for the shirt. And I'm scared, because I usually only wear form-fitting stuff on days when I've been restricting for a while, and I'm feeling oddly self-confident and skinny. So rarely ever. But now I'll have to wear it 80 minutes twice a week.

Plus, one whole wall is covered in mirrors, so if I'll have to look at myself the whole time.

Does anyone have any tips for how to survive?
    Fuck this shit

Im sorry youre feeling this way hun and i get you it sucks. But on the bright side, black is a slimming color. What i would do would be to draw attention to a different area. When i feel unconfident in an outfit, i usually make my makeup nice to take away from it, or my hair. On the bright side, dance is a healthy workout i guess. Mirrors suck ik. Maybe make a friend to get your mind off everything. Goodluck and keep your head up

Jamie pretty much sums it up.
Also, take in consideration what tends to cause you to bloat, and try to stay away from such factors (carbonated beverages, high amounts of salt, ect. )

Thanks, guys, that's really good advice.
Unfortunately, I suck at doing my hair and makeup. I'm not always the best at making friends, either, but I'll try.

Dude...what a bummer. I hate tight clothing lol. Ummm good thing about yoga pants/capris is that they do a great job slimming and hiding problem areas.

What about a semi-loose tank you can get at sporting good shops? Those are slimming?

Like these. They give you some wiggle room, but still look like they fit your form. It will definitely hide the bloating.

I was going to suggest the same thing. I'm a dance instructor and my go to outfits are form fitting leggings and a looser LONG top. Personally, I'm lenient in what I let my dancers wear as long as they can move around in it and I can see their lines and positions, and in hip hop its pretty much anything goes excluding denim. Keep it tight on the bottom and cover what you want up top and you will be surprised at how great you'll look. Plus, black? Luckkkyyyy!

You're probably gorgeous and don't even know it. I'm sorry you're feeling bad. I like to wear 3 pairs of underwear and pull them up to my belly when I feel bloated. When I was overweight spanx kept my belly in. If it worked when for a heavy person it can work for a skinny person like you! V-necks are also slimming. Good luck.

Is it too late for you to switch to a different class? Honestly that sounds like a triggery nightmare.

If I were in your shoes, I'd layer. I'd put on form-fitting workout clothes plus loose-ish warm up gear on top. If your instructor bugs you could tell her your muscles are cold?

I do love dance leggings though! They make you look very sleek. Spanx are an awesome idea too although I'm not sure how comfy they are if you sweat?
