    Default Scales

Didn't know where to put this so feel free to move!

Was wondering if anyone (probably in the UK) knows a good set of bathroom scales. I have 4 different pairs in my bathroom and they all seem to be broken so I want to buy more. I really want some that are accurate and don't keep changing what they are saying. Honestly I get on them and one minute I am one weight and then I can get on them two secs later (having not done anything) and I weigh a couple of hundred grams less or more. Makes it pretty hard for weigh ins too.

I don't mind paying a bit more for some. Oh and I really want electronic ones rather than mechanical dial ones. It's really annoying me not knowing what I weigh exactly. Sometimes I weigh myself on two pairs each time and then take the average but it gets hard not knowing which ones to trust etc.

Thanks guys and sorry if this thread seems a bit silly. I'm sure you will all understand it's not as small a problem as it seems.

My scale does that too, I just weigh myself until I get the same number at least 4 times in a row, I understand how frustrating it is. I'm sure someone who knows more than me will reply with a more useful answer soon.

I'm sorry to say I bought a scale based on Consumer Reports... no, really But the whole inconsistency thing bugged me, too.

This is the one that gets the highest ratings (which I now own). I checked on amazon.co.uk and they don't have this specific model, but you can order from the American site and have it shipped to you wherever (I've done the reverse plenty of times).

I like electronic glass scales best.
I have one from weight watchers that I quite like, not sure my other scale (also glass scale, digital).
I don't find having 4 that strange, bc I have seriously considered collecting them.

I own glass, salter scales, paid about Ł35 for them, ive tried other brands but have found salter to be the most accurate (and tally with ed services lol).

I use Salter scales for both food and body weighing — got them at sainsbury's and they have a good warranty

The weight watchers ones are my fave! I had that problem though in my bathroom so now I take them out onto a different floor (wooden) because I heard tiled floors can be a tiny bit uneven which results in inaccurate readings! So you might just need to try different flooring. Or put a massive book under them?
