Default Today is my first day of being brave :)

So, I'm not sure if anyone will really care, but I'm happy because today is literally of the first times in which I have made a brave move. Even last time, when I got help for my anxiety, it was rooted in a weird O.C.D. fear, but today I for real feel brave and this never happens.

I had my doctor's appointment and I told her about all my strange food ways for the past year or so. She was very nice about it and she told me to contact my psychologist at school, which is a very good idea, because that's one of the few locations where I can get a therapist that speak my language (I'm in the language minority of where I live). She said it was Anorexia (which I don't really think of it as, but whatever) but said it was part of my Anxiety Disorder and O.C.D., which I found interesting, even though I already knew it was "based" off my O.C.D.

So now I'm getting help for real and, at the moment, I'm feeling happy, although strangely like the problem's already gone and I'll know I'll never deal with food in a disordered way ever again (which is obviously not true, but I'll let this optimism stay while I can). I'm a little confused that I don't have to actually see a psychiatrist for a legit diagnosis, but my first step is contacting the psychologist, so that's what's up

You are brave indeed. Hold onto that optimism, it will help. Thinking of you, sending huge smiles and encouragement vibes. Awesome post, I'm behind you all the way.

Thank you, both of you, so much for the support. It's very encouraging, and I'm feeling super pumped about leaving this behind. I know it's not nearly as severe as others have had, and I have only had it for about a year, but I've learned that it sucks just to have that much trouble with food and I hope I'll be able to recover with affair amount of ease (in relative terms)
