I've had tattoos in the past, but I always got them in times when ED wasn't too strong or I was engaged with other things which made it a secondary part of my life. But I'm getting quite a big tattoo on my arm next week and this is my first after quite a big weight loss and I'm really scared I've made it very difficult for myself and it'll hurt more or something might happen like fainting.
I wish I could eat some skittles during it, but I don't know if I could manage them, I'm just really unsure and I wouldn't want to ask this to my tattooist as she knows me but not that well and I don't want her to know.
Anyone else had any experiences that could help or tips?

I got my tattoo last summer, took little over 2 hours...I just ate a small but healthy breakfast that day, including banana...I made it through just fine. If that doesn't work for you, maybe just bring some fruit (or fruit juice) or another snack you are ok with, and IF you happen to feel faint at any point, ask her to give you a few minutes then munch if need be.

I would eat something small that is pretty high in carbohydrates and sugars...like a piece of fruit. Mango...banana. Then I would go buy some salt tablets and chug some water to get that blood pressure up.
So then you have your glucose levels up and blood pressure. Hopefully you won't faint for the time being. But you have to make sure you sugar levels don't dramatically drop while you are getting the tattoo. So from there some protein or fiber would work well to stabilize things.
I don't know you that well, so I'm not sure what your safe foods are. I hope fruit is okay.
Or maybe you could hold off on the tattoo for the time being until you feel better?
