For the past week I have been restricting my diet so that I eat less than 300 calories a day. But for the past week or so my muscles have been hurting a lot. I don't know if this is just my muscles being 'consumed' by my body or if this is even normal. I drink plenty of water and I do get at least 100 calories every day. This isn't the first time I've purged and this isn't even the worst restriction I've done either. Any tips or insight to this would be fantastic.
*I'm not looking for any support in purging again, I am seeing my doctor again about this, but I just want to know if anyone else has experienced this and if it's normal*

I've seen soreness in most 'symptoms' under the anorexia section on webmd-esque pages. I'm sore a lot, and I have no idea what it is. It could stand to reason that it's your body trying to 'digest' your muscles or whatever. Or they're sore from 'overexercise' seeing as they're running on less and 300cals. In a completely sedentary lifestyle, the body burns at least 1400/day.
Try to increase your calorie intake, if not for your health, for the awful binge you're going to have coming up soon otherwise.

When I am in restriction mode (i.e., whenever I'm not in a B/P cycle, sadly), my body aches all over too. It's par for the course. Meaning "normal" when it comes to anorexia. Lack of energy, or calories, means less fuel for your body to do maintenance and repair of wear 'n tear. Then there's the possibility of electrolyte imbalances and vitamin deficiencies, very much a possibility with so low nutrition.
Do what you can to up your intake--sans purging, of course--and see if it improves. Good luck, darlin.

I dont know what causes it but I can relate. Hot baths help me plus heating pads. Hopefully you are feeling better person
Insert semi-intelligent quasi deep emotional thought here.

I often have soreness in my shoulders and arms, but I've always put this down to straining them without realising because there is muscle wastage and they have to work harder. I think when you're physically tired as well, the soreness is part of that too, even if you don't feel like you want to go to sleep, your body is just exhausted.
