I am kinda stuck. My mom is sick and the doctors don't really know what is wrong at this point. I still don't want to eat. But i don't want them to have to worry about me when they should be worring about her. I feel really selfish. I think I should be more worried about my mom then I am of me. But I so damn concerned about not eating that I can't think of anything else and It is hurting me to know how stupid I am for being the way I am with it. My mom deserves alot more then me hurting her. I know she is hurting because she already is noticeing. But I just don't feel right because she needs help now. Not me. Does anybody relate?

Maybe you could try eating with her when you eat, then she won't have to worry about you not eating and you're spending time with her? I know not eating can make you feel withdrawn and reclusive, but both of you will feel better if you try to get past that and talk with her.

can you let her see you eat some raw veggies? I told my family I'm vegan so they leave me alone if I'm eating salad, etc.

hi
hey that vegan thing is a good idea, i became vegetarian five years ago and u wouldn't believe how many times it has saved me from eating crap with the rest of the family. if u do have to eat with your mom, try filling your plate with safe foods and eat them quickly, that way u know u wont gain weight and your mom can see that u still have an appetite and will no worry as much. xxxx

Yeah, the vegan thing works really well becuase there is so little you can eat when you are out at a restaurant or even at home. Nobody questions me when I'm sitting over a pile of radishes (19 cals) and I get left alone. you just have to convince them for a while that you are serious about veganism and have some supporting evidence to offer inquisitive people when they ask you why you don't eat dairly or meat. Can I just tell you--when you cut out dairy, you loose LOADS of weight! I know fat free yogurt is a community favorite but it's better not to eat any dairy.
