I can't ever stick to a pure fast. I weighed myself yesterday and i was 93 pounds. then I decided to eat something. I ended up purging after that. any help?

I wish I had some tips for you but I don't. You're better off just doing a raw veggie thing then you are fasting one day and then binging the next. You're going to f up your electrolyte balence pretty bad and it won't help. I wish I had some help for you--I'm fasting right now but it's going really well. I don't fast though until I'm in the mental place to really carry it out becuase I know what the outcome is ultimatly purging and I can't do that anymore. I'm here for you sweety, I wish I could be a better support to you.

i agree, u really need to be in the right state of mind and away from people that will guilt trip u into slipping. i only do a fast when i know i can see it through, which is why mine will be ending on sat as i will be with my mum and know there is no way in hell i can stay strong around her. ill pick it up again on Monday when i get home (with my new scales and plenty of motivation.
maybe u should try restricting instead, say 400 cals a day, that's really doable and will help u learn how to control your cravings.

That's what I say, restricting is so much better than skrewing up and then purging. I totally believe in ana but I HATE mia and I'm not going to purge again--ever. As much as I love my self control I really don't want to die in my sleep from an electrolyte imbalence brought on by my years of purging. I'd rather restrict all the time and stay away from people who want to eat. I never go out with friends for meals, I insist on meeting them for coffee and then I never have to explain what I'm up to. I decided that Im just bringing my "vegan" food with my to Thanksgiving and Christmas--in other words steamed veggies. And then I'm going back on my fast for the new year.

Is hunger the problem or cravings? This is going to sound disgusting but when I first started doing this I used to chew stuff and then spit it out :s and that used to stop my cravings - which in the long run is much better than purging. Now I just tend to smell the food I want but I guess my willpower for not eating certain foods is much stronger now than it was.

oh i know
the chew and spit thing really works, my mom used to bring home these crisps that she knew i couldn't resist. i just got so annoyed with myself for eating them, i knew i had to do something to stop. so i started just chewing a crisp and spitting it out, id do this for the whole packet and the smell i cant even tell u how gross it is. now when i see that brand of crisps my brain doesn't think yum i know that will taste nice, i think eeeewwwwww that smell. And i have never eaten them since.

My prob is flatmates! They r soooooooo worried and threatening to ring my parents! God that would be a nightmare! I'm going to eat tonight (just 2 please them and so they won't ring my parents!) Any advice how to get rid of the cals I eat 2night. No purging.....BAD! Don't want to do that again!
