Hey ladies!
Whenever I've fasted, I've never been able to do a strict water fast as I have a child and I have to work as well. What are your feelings on drinking Diet Coke and Coffee during a fast? I'd probably lose more weight if I only drank water, but I love my caffeine and I'm not sure I want to give it up.
How many of you drink diet soda and use diet sweetner?????? Am I alone?

No matter what type of fast I am doing I always allow myself coffee and diet coke.
Yes I am addicted to coffee and diet coke, but I find coffee keeps me warm when cold and diet coke somehow fills me up while fasting.
I've always had good results when fasting and allowing coffee and diet coke, about 1lb weight loss a day or every 2 days.
Coffee and diet coke are my safe foods/drinks.

i either drink hot or cold drinks, cause they stop me from feeling hunger ..but instead of coke i would recommend just iced water ..and then i drink coffee without milk or sugar ..and i find it really helps and i dont feel guilty after i've had it

Why not just make it a liquid diet? But make your own fruit juice so others don't load your cup with sugar!

Yeah I find sipping on a few different fruit juices throughout the day (especially if I need energy for something) keeps me going big time. Plus, if you have only 3 glasses it's like, 200-300 calories a day, Only you can make your fast longer. I think it's a decent trade off.

Hey everyone. Diet Coke is actually really really bad for you. It has aspartame, which is an artificial sweetener that's basically poison. It's made of methanol (wood alcohol) and formaldehyde (used for tissue preservation in science labs- remember frog dissections in middle school? the frogs are preserved in formaldehyde). Methanol (as opposed to the other kind of alcohol we drink- ethanol), is VERY poisonous to humans. It causes blindness if too much is consumed. Diet coke is just really bad for you. Aspartame isn’t just in diet soda though. It’s in a lot of products- especially ones that say “sugar free”.
I recommend 100% fruit juice or vegetable juice. Or green tea with stevia (a healthy sweetener from an herb).

I 100% agree with cksummer. Do you know how splenda was discovered? A grad student was making a PESTICIDE when his professor told him to "test it out". By test it out, the student thought he was supposed to TASTE it, and when he did, it was sweet. Yup, it's actually poison meant to kill annoying bugs. Do you really want that in your system? Better off with something natural and more calories, than something artificial, which is hard to digest, and besides, artificial sweeteners make you HUNGRY.
We expect each other to always be the people in that picture. But people change. People aren't pictures. And you can either take a new picture, or throw the old one away.

cksummer and zeroislove are right, but also any kind of soda stretches your stomach (coz of the bubbles). I guess thats OK, but I feel more hungry, or get hungry faster that way
But I agree with drinkin not only water
I love fruit juices

i agree with cksummer and zeroislove also....the doc told me so that i can understand
, that the lack of sugar in the diet drinks and the substitues for it, only make your brain crave for food, especially sweets...coz, after all, it`s all coming from the brain
