Default Hmm, I don't like this.

I've been bulimic for a little over a year now, and the majority of that year I only purged about twice a week. However, back in September, I discovered something: I could do it without using my fingers. Needless to say, that knowledge has not been good for me. Now, I realize that this, uh, trick was bound to reveal itself, but...exactly how bad is it? What does it mean internally? Because, I mean, I've been getting some weird stomach aches lately, and, frankly, I really don't want to have ruptured anything.

yh like princess says it's bad however you do it. Your stomach aches are probably from the strain of using the muscles needed to purge too often.

Could be something more serious though so i'd get it checked out.

I am highly aware of the fact that purging is bad for me; I've been to health class and personally have felt it's effects. It isn't that simple. Maybe I should have been more specific, but all I wondered was what it meant internally that I could gag without sticking my fingers down my throat.
But yeah, it would make sense if the stomach aches were just a muscle strain. Lucky for me they are few and far between.

dont worry, u haven't ruptured anything YET, i was bulimic for three years (ana now thank god) and it didn't take long at all to discover that i could purge without even trying, it became like a reflex - eat, sit, puke! i think its actually safer that way - not that im in any way saying mia is safe, but its forcing the purge that does most of the internal damage. non the less i cant help but point out that u are still fucking up your health and your teeth will eventually start rotting but i also know saying this is pointless as no one with an ed cares about the damage we do to get the results we want. try to stay safe sweety mia is dangerous, in many ways its worse than ana.

What's your stomach ache like? I get really bad stomach aches from time to time because I developed gastritis (the inflammation of the stomach lining) It's this horrible stabbing pain (at least that is how it presented itself to me) that makes you feel as if your stomach is stretching more than it should, mixed w/possible nausea and it all just comes in waves.

If it is a mild pain, sometimes it just goes away with some antacids. I have had stomach pains due to gastritis that were so bad that even when on the highest dosage of morphine the hospital ER could give me, my pain was still at a level 7 (on a scale of 1-10) And I tolerate pain pretty well. The best non-prescription advice my doctor gave me was to take a maximum strength Zantac twice a day to minimize the excess acids in my stomach. I would try that and see if within a few days, the pain subsides.
